Chicken Thighs Smothered In A Morel Cream Sauce
Ingredients
Preparing the Chicken
- 1 lb Chicken Thighs, - local, boneless, or 1 1/2 lb Bone-In
 - Pinch of Salt & Fresh Ground Pepper
 - Olive Oil
 
Preparing the Mushrooms
- 1/4 lb Morel Mushrooms
 - 2 cloves Garlic
 - 1 cup Heavy Cream
 - Pinch of Salt & Fresh Ground Pepper
 
Preparing the Noodles
- 1/3 lb Das Dutchman Essenhaus Extra Wide Homestyle Noodles
 
Instructions
Preparing the Chicken
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Coat the bottom of the pan with olive oil. Season the chicken thighs with salt & fresh ground pepper. Brown both sides of the thigh (about 5-6 minutes per side). Remove from pan and set to the side.
 
Preparing the Mushrooms
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In the same pan, over medium heat, sauté the mushrooms for about 5-7 minutes. Add the garlic and continue cooking for another 5-6 minutes. Reduce heat to low and add heavy cream. Season with salt & fresh ground pepper. Add the chicken thighs to the pan and place in the oven. Cook for 15 minutes.
 
Preparing the Noodles
- While the chicken is cooking. Heat water with a pinch of salt to a boil. Cook pasta for approximately 7 minutes. Drain.
 
Notes
Place chicken thighs over pasta and smother in morel mushroom sauce. Broccolini is a great side dish for this meal.
