Crooked Tree Art Center's Sabayon with Berries

Ingredients

  • 6 Egg Yolk
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • Lemon Juice - fresh
  • Grand Marnier
  • 2 tbsp Berries - (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, black berries)

Instructions

  • Simmer water in a double boiler over medium heat. In the stainless steel bowl of the double boiler, whisk egg yolks, sugar and a few drops of lemon juice. Continue whisking for 4 to 5 minutes until you have the consistency of lightly whipped cream. Remove from heat and add Grand Marnier to taste.
  • Take berries (sliced if needed such as with strawberries) place in separate bowl with sugar. Lightly mix berries to coat with sugar.
  • Place berries in a wine glass and top with sauce.
